Where: Dryden Transfer Station, located off Hwy 2, south side of HWY 2, at the new intersection near the new Shell gas station. 9073 Hwy 2, Dryden, WA 98821
Phone: (509) 548-5592 Approximately 3 miles east of Leavenworth on Hwy 2.
When: Saturday, April 4th from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Accepted items include: large appliances such as hot water tanks and stoves, 6 foot pipe lengths or less, refrigerators, freezers, air-conditions at most sites (required purging fees for units that once contained Freon) , microwaves, dryers, steel bath tubs, aluminum siding, bikes, lawnmowers, wheel rims and orchard sprayers. Orchard sprayers must be rinsed with tires removed at the collection site or prior to delivery. Cars, motorbikes and trailers with titles are also accepted at the Dryden site.
For people with disabilities and the elderly who do not have family or friends to help them, Chelan County will assist with the pick-up of accessible appliances. Those qualifying people need to call Chelan County at 663-7421 on March 24th or 25th to arrange for a pick-up.
Don’t bring: propane bottles, fencing, wire, cable, televisions, computers, pressurized tanks, mattresses, light ballasts, non-aluminum canopies, enclosed barrels and tanks or garbage.
If you have tires and/or auto batteries do not bring them to the Dryden Transfer Station. You can take them to TDS Tire Center on South Wenatchee Avenue; Discount Tire at 1914 North Wenatchee Avenue; or Chelan’s Les Schwab. There are fees for tires and auto batteries dropped off at these sites ranging from $2 – $3 for passenger car tires; add $2 – $4 for tires on rims. Auto batteries will cost up to $2 each.
