Wenatchee- It’s not easy being green

Thanks to Andy Dappen of WenatcheeOutdoors.org for letting me post this great article. When I read the front page news about a “Green Wenatchee” I too was a little disturbed. Ten Reasons We’re Not No. Five Andy Dappen If only it were true. Unfortunately, all I can say about the March 2007 issue of Country Home magazine that ranked Wenatchee as the fifth greenest …

A good cause

I was looking for blogs on log homes and log cabins so I can provide some more details for home buyers to look at. I ended up at this site. The owner is in the process of building a log home and is going to blog about his/her trials and tribulations. The site owner is trying to get bloggers to donate money to a …

Two Years of Blogging

It’s hard to believe that I’ve been blogging about real estate now for two years. In the beginning it was just a few statistics (market updates) but mostly it was another venue for me to talk about my listings. Obviously that wasn’t particularly exciting or engaging – not for me or for my readers. As I learn more about the blogosphere and about real …

Spokesman Review Blogspotter

Thanks to Frank Sennett of the Spokane Spokesman Review for including me in his review of Washington State real estate blogs. The mention is enouraging. I think blogs are a great resource for both consumers and industry insiders. When I’m not out selling homes or blogging here, I’m over at Rain City Guide peeking in at the Seattle real estate market.

Lake Wenatchee Website

I wanted to take an opportunity to plug Dave Neir’s LakeWenatcheeInfo.com Dave has done a great job making the Lake Wenatchee and Fish Lake area accessible to visitors and locals alike via the web. Dave has a great understanding of the possibilities such a resource can be. I’m amazed at how many websites are static and become quickly dated or useless. Not the case …

Rain City Guide : Real Estate Blog

I was doing a little surfing to see what other real estate blogs are doing these days and ran into this http://www.raincityguide.com/2006/02/27/8-common-mistakes-made-by-real-estate-bloggers/ Wow! That really educated me. I’m guilty of so much. I have been using this blog as a marketing tool not really as a journal or weblog. The question really is can I spend enough time working on the blog to keep …
