Leavenworth’s December Events- Christmas Lighting and More
Snow, snow, snow! Winter may not have officially started, but it definitely feels like it in Leavenworth. Unlike last year, we have a fair amount of snow for those braving the Christmas Lighting scene these December weekends. There are lots of holiday festivities this month in town so grab a coffee and find your little piece of holiday magic.
A Book For All Seasons–Dec 8
A Book For All Seasons is holding their annual Christmas Party. There will be drawings, gifts, refreshments, and even an author or two…or three. Maybe you will find that one elusive gift for the last (or first) person on your list, or get yourself a holiday present! 6-8pm. Free.
44th Annual Christmas Lighting Festival–Dec 11,12/18,19
Leavenworth’s grand finale festival of the year, the annual Christmas Lighting. All lights will be on Friday night. Festival events start at 1pm on Sat & Sun. Lighting countdown begins at 4:30pm. After the lighting at 5:30 there is a lantern parade beginning at the gazebo and ending at the living nativity, approx 20 minute walk.
Amahl and The Night Visitors–10,11,12/17,18,19
Come enjoy a Christmas play presented by the Leavenworth Summer Theater at the Festhalle. The show is approx. 1 hour long and does not conflict with any Christmas Lighting activities. Friday & Sat. @8pm, Sun @ 1pm. $16 & $20.

The Leavenworth Village Voices brings the spirit of Christmas to you at The Church of The Nazarene. Tickets are available at the Chamber of Commerce, Dan’s Market, and Doane’s Pharmacy in Cashmere. $14 G.A./$12 students & seniors
Marlin Handbell Ringers–Dec 7 & 8.
Best Western Icicle Inn hosts the Marlin Handbell Ringers, a Christmas favorite. Shows start at 7:30. $12 G.A/$6 Students.
Miracle on 34th Street–Dec 10,11
Cascade High School presents Miracle on 34th Street. Show starts at 7pm, tickets available at the door.
Night at the Museum–Dec 10,17
Come take a stroll through the Nutcracker Museum. Meet the Nutcracker Lady (as seen on Conan!) , sample cheese, and see some amazing nutcrackers. $10 admission, 6pm-9pm.
Tripsichore Yoga Workshop–Dec 11
Head to Snowcreek Yoga Studio to explore the the Tripsochore Vinyasa sequences. $30. 1:30-4pm.
Joy To The World Concert–Dec 19th
Join the Icicle Creek Piano Trio and the Noel Ensemble for a celebration of the winter season through familiar classics and old world treasures. Matinee at Enzian Inn, 2pm. Evening Show at Wren Canyon Recital Hall at 7:30pm. $5-$20.
