Oktoberfest is over and fall is slowly turning into winter.  And even though the snow dusted peaks are teasing all us snow sport fans, there are still lots of great fall colors to be seen in and around town.  While November can be a little bit quieter in the Village as we recover from Oktoberfest and gear up for Christmas lighting, there are still lots of events happening.
 
November 5, 7-9pm–Riding with Reindeer
 Robert Goldstein gives a presentation on his book Riding With Reindeer at Barn Beach Reserve.  Goldstein rode his bike thru Finland, Lapland, and Norway and recounts his trials and tribulations.  The event is sponsored by A Book For All Seasons and is FREE.  He will also be doing a book signing at the store on Sat November 6th, 1-3pm.
 
November 6, 7pm–“Soul of the Cello” by Eugene Friesen
Grammy Award winning Eugene Freisen performs a benefit concert for Icicle Arts at Barn Beach Reserve.  Friesen blends classic and modern music and illustrates his inspiration with masked characters.  Local wines and a silent auction are an additional feature of the nights entertainment.  $15 advance, $18 at the door.
 
November 12, 7pm–Migration: The Transformative Power of Birds and Nature
Author and feature nature photographer Michele Burton will share photographs, stories and humerous tales birds and nature at Barn Beach Reserve. FREE
 
November 13, 9-11:45am–Leavenworth Ski Swap
Looking for new downhill or x-c ski gear?  Perhaps you will find it at the Leavenworth Winter Sports Club annual ski swap.  The event is in the Cascade High School gym and a $2 donation will be collected at the door.  If you are looking to unload your used gear, drop off is Friday, November 12 between 5:30 and 8:30pm.  Also, this will be the last chance to get your seasons pass at a 15% discount.
 
November 13, 7:30pm–Bach to Gershwin and Beyond: A History of the Piano Trio
The Icicle Creek Piano Trio takes on a musical journey through their history as a group.  Performed in the beautiful Wren Canyon Recital Hall, the resident pianist, cellist, and violinist will perform a music mosaic.  Tickets $20.
 
November 13, 5:30–RotaryFest 2010
Saddle up and head to the Festhalle for the Leavenworth Rotary Club’s annual fundraiser.  There will be live entertainment by Gary McMahon, The Singing Cowboy, and food provided by local restaurants.  Additional entertainment includes a live auction where you can bid on a variety of items including a magnum of wine from Boudreaux Cellars and 5 yards of concrete from Apple Valley Sand & Gravel.  Tickets $50.
 
November 19, 7:30pm–Leavenworth Coffee House
Kenny Blackwell and Dorian Michael share their mandolin and guitar expertise in this night of acoustical music at the first Leavenworth Coffee House of the winter season.  $3 cover, children 12 and under free.
 
November 20, 7:30pm–River Haus Concert
Tom Landa and Karissa Hernandez play the intimate setting of River Haus in the Pines  B&B.  Landa is best know for his band, The Paperboys, and Hernandez is an award winning fiddle player.  Tickets $35 or free with a two night stay at the B&B.
 
November 23, 5:30pm–Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour
Leavenworth Winter Sports Club brings the Banff Mountain Film Festival to Leavenworth the night before Thanksgiving.  Doors open at the Enzian in at 5:30pm and the film begins at 6:30pm.  Tickets $13 advance, $15 at the door.
 
November 26-28th–Christkindlmart
Come help usher in the holiday season at the Christmas Market held Thanksgiving weekend.  Live entertainment, food and craft booths are highlighted by the childrens lantern parade on Sat evening.  Crafts for kids will be held at the Front Street Park in town and at the Grange hall. 
 
November 27th–Snowcreek Yoga Thanksgiving Special
Snowcreek Yoga Studio is offering special after Thanksgiving classes by offering workshop length classes at regular class prices.   Stop in for a little deep breathing and de-stressing after the holiday.
 
November 27-28–Autumn Barrel Tasting
Head over to Wedge Mountain Winery for their annual barrel tasting from 10am-5pm.  Price is $5 and is refunded with a bottle purchase.
