Autumn is a beautiful time of year around Leavenworth. Oktoberfest is in full swing and the fall colors will be out in all their splendor. If you are in the area, I would suggest taking a drive around Chiwawa Loop Road out in Plain for some great leaf peeping or even just a drive up Tumwater Canyon.
October 1,2/ 8,9/ 15,16--Oktoberfest
Get ready for Oompa Bands, crazy hats, and BEER! The first three weekends in October are host to Leavenworth's famed Oktoberfest. This year there will be four venue sites with a free shuttle going around town. There are even shuttles to Cashmere and Wenatchee for a fee, so leave those car keys at home and in your hotel rooms. I would highly suggest trying to sort out accommodations before you head to Leavenworth. Typically the town is completely booked up. www.leavenworthoktoberfest.com
