November 21 and 28, 2015 at 10:00 am in Woodpecker - Join Joanna Dunn on Saturday mornings at 10:00 am for a Morning Wake Up Yoga (slow - gentle) class. Drop ins welcome. Mats and props available for newcomers.  Check website for updates and special guests.

Nov 1st: One Day Yoga RetreatSleeping Lady Mountain Resort, 7375 Icicle Road, Leavenworth, WA, 98826

Join Joanna Dunn at Sleeping Lady for a day of calming the senses, practicing yoga and meditation, and getting away from it all. Includes: 9:30 to noon - morning yoga mandala session, 12:00 to 2:00 pm - buffet lunch, 2:00 – 3:15 pm – yoga and meditation, 3:30 – 5:00 pm restorative/gentle yoga and wine tasting.

In this class each student will learn to knit a unique creature with instructor Gayle Holeton. This is a 6 class series: Mondays Oct 12, 19, 26, Nov 2, 9, 16 for Kids 6 & up.

Explore New Guinea with Smithsonian naturalist Bruce Beehler as he reveals the secrets of the remote Foja Mountains, shares the rare bird of paradise & some most bizarre creatures on Earth!

 Nov 7th: LWSC Snow Fun 2015 - Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort at 7375 Icicle Road, Leavenworth

SnowFun 2015 is a get-together of skiers, friends, and winter enthusiasts to bring in the season with a social gathering of food, drink, music, flicks, conversation, cool raffle items and raise-the-paddle to pad the coffers. No black tie affair with only a good time required. Bring your date and join your friends for a night out near the river and at the foot of the mountains. This event will be held at Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort at 7375 Icicle Road, Leavenworth.

Time: 7PM                                                       Fee: $25 online/$30 at the door


Nov 12th: Dinner & A Movie Fundraiser - Sleeping Lady Resort, 7409 Icicle Road, Leavenworth, WA, 98826

Join Sleeping Lady and Icicle Creek Center for the Arts for dinner and a movie. Dine at O'Grady's, between 1:00 and 7:00 pm on Thursday, October 12th and 10% of proceeds will benefit Leavenworth Mountain Association. Then, stroll over to the Snowy Owl Theater for TGR's Paradise Waits, part of the Icicle Creek Film Series. A portion of net proceeds from the film will benefit LWSC.

Nov 13th: Gary Stroutsos - Icicle Creek Center for the Arts, 7409 Icicle Road, Leavenworth, WA, 98826

Gary performs world flute music drawn from many traditional cultures. With backgrounds in American jazz, Afro-Cuban and American Indian music, he pushes the boundaries of original flute music being composed and recorded today.

Nov 14h: Ben Seims Book Signing - A Book for All Seasons, 703 Hwy 2, Leavenworth, WA 98826

Come meet Author Ben Seims who lives in Wenatchee with his wife and their three teenaged boys. He works as a cardiac nurse and an officer in the Washington Army National Guard. After Day One, his first full length novel, is the first book in a planned trilogy.

Speaker Paul Gray will address early life in the Lake Wenatchee area; who the first families were to come to the area, where they came from and what they did. Also lumbering, saw mills, shake mills and fire.

Acclaimed artist and director William Kentridge (The Nose) applies his unique theatrical vision to Berg's notorious femme fatale who shatters lives, including her own.
