Feb 27 thru Mar 1st: Special Olympics - Icicle River Trail at Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery.
.More than 1500 Special Olympics athletes will represent Washington's hometowns in winter competition. Cross-country ski events are held in Leavenworth; come out and support the athletes. This is a 2.5 day course designed to help students understand why avalanches occur and to provide a framework for decision-making in avalanche terrain.
