Here is our Leavenworth Events Calendar for April 2013:

April 01- 30: Spring Sensations- Downtown Leavenworth

Tantalize your senses all through April with a month-long prost to our pears. Specialty made foods, wines and gifts that highlight the "pear".

 

April 1: Reserve Bourbon Release- It's 5 Distillery

We are releasing our first Bourbon. It's a 4 year aged Bourbon. 207 Mission Avenue-Cashmere 11-5pm, FREE

 

April 02, 09, 16, 23 & 30: Resort Yoga- Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort

Join Marion Lodato on Tuesdays at 7:00pm for an Intro to Vinyasa Flow , Level I-II class and Joanna Dunn on Saturdays at 10:00am for a Morning Wake Up Yoga (slow-gentle) class.  7pm, $8.00 per class

 

April 05: One Main Train Wreck- Der Hinterhof Beer Garden & Moonshine Bar

A punk flavored version of Hank Williams and Johnny Cash. Just gotta hear it.  8pm, FREE

 

April 06, 13 & 20: Resort Yoga- Sleeping Lady Mountain Resort

April 06: A Taste of Leavenworth- Downtown Leavenworth

Businesses highlighting pear related or locally made treats and dishes are waiting to stamp your passport to flavor town.  Bring your appetite and sense of adventure.   11-5pm, $25 and $30

 

April 06, 13, 20, 27: Live Music at Cafe Mozart- 829 Front Street

Live piano music to enjoy while dining.  George Lak entertains with classical and romantic easy listening.  6-9pm, FREE with dinner purchase

 

April 06: Zebrona Bastard- Der Hinterhof Beer Garden & Moonshine Bar

Enjoy the music of Zebrana Bastard.   9pm, FREE

 

April 06: Ho-Down Sho-Down BBQ/Brewfest- Mission Ridge Ski and Board Resort, Wenatchee

A freestyle event mixing extreme sports, a BBQ contest, a live art wall and live country music.  Noon, FREE

 

April 06: 1st Annual Leavenworth International Film Festival- Leavenworth Festhalle

Showcasing the best recent independent films with a focus on outdoor recreation.  Film submissions by March 21st.  Grand prize $1,000, 1st place $250 (5 categories), over $5,000 in cash and prizes.  1001 Front Street 6:30-10:30pm, $5

 

April 06: FBLA Fundraiser- Yoski @ 219 8th Street

Yoski, your local frozen yogurt shop, is donating half its proceeds on April 6th to FBLA, sampling a variety fo new flavors! Email info@lmarketeur.com for info. 12-8pm

 

April 06: Icicle Creek Chamber Players Concert- Canyon Wren Recital Hall

A concert featuring Christina Dahl and Oksana Ezhokina, pianists.  7:30pm $20 General, $16 Senior. $8 Student

 

April 12: Searching for the Elusive North Cascade Grizzly- The Barn Beach Reserve

Ghost Bears: Searching for the Elusive North Cascades Grizzly Bear.  Red Barn Friday at Wenatchee River Institute with Wildlife Biologist Bill Gaines.   7-9pm, FREE donations are accepted

 

April 13: Photo Classes- Spring to the Light- Icicle Studios, 11734 Hwy 2, Suite C

Using simple camera techniques, learn techniques that will make your images rich. Bring your camera, lenses and tripod to explore new nature image making.  8-11am, $35 per session

 

April 13: Marshall Poole- Der Hinterhof Beer Garden & Moonshine Bar

Marshall Poole is a 3-piece band that plays a mix of Rock'n Roll with a contemporary feel. The "e" adds class.  9pm, FREE

 

April 13 & 14: River Haus Concert Series- River Haus in the Pines B&B

The Paperboys Trio "The Starbirds" return! Guitar, Fiddle, Trombone and great vocals always a crowd pleaser!   Doors @ 7, music @ 8, $35 includes dessert

 

April 19: Derek Sheffield, Through The Second Skin, A Poetry- Leavenworth Public Library

Highly acclaimed Wenatchee Valley College teacher Derek Sheffield reads his first book of poems, Through the Second Skin.  7-8pm, FREE

 

April 19: JJ Hills Fresh Grill Winemaker Dinner- JJ Hills Fresh Grill

Join us at JJ Hills Fresh Grill for an exclusive and intimate winemaker's dinner with Icicle Ridge Winery presented by wine maker Don Wood.   6:30-9pm, $79 per person

 

April 20: Derek Sheffield, Through The Second Skin, A Poetry- A Book For All Seasons

Highly acclaimed Wenatchee Valley College teacher Derek Sheffield signs his first book of poems, Through the Second Skin.   1-3pm, FREE

 

April 20: Leavenworth Ale-Fest- Leavenworth Festhalle, 1001 Front Street

Saturday April 20th, 2013 from 2-10pm!  Beer tasting with brews from 20 micro breweries & popular Northwest bands & delicious foods.  Proceeds benefit the Leavenworth Nutcracker Museum & Operation Ward 57.  2-10pm, $20 and $25

 

April 20: Girlfriends Lunch Out & Tea Meeting- Daily Joy Tea House

Former restaurant owner Leanne Doney will demonstrate & serve a delicious lunch, and tea house owner Ginger will complement it with the perfect tea.   2pm, $15

 

April 21: LIFE2 Earth Day Community Fair- Lion's Club Park, Leavenworth

Come gather with friends and neighbors and enjoy food, music, booths and activities building awareness about environmental, economic and social sustainability.   Noon-4pm, FREE

 

April 27: Photo Classes- Basic Editing II- Icicle Studios, 11734 Hwy 2, Suite C

Intro to editing in Lightroom & photoshop. Bring your laptop and installed versions of these programs to the class.  9-11:30am, $35 per session

 

April 27: Three Quarter Minus- Der Hinterhof Beer Garden & Moonshine Bar

With a straight forward rock'n roll original sound and the added modern rock cover tunes that you don't normally hear.  8pm, FREE
